Silkcards offers two options for embossing your card. Your graphics can either be "embossed" in which your artwork is raised up on the card surface or "debossed" where your designs are depressed/indented onto the card stock. The embossed or debossed areas can be applied to the printed or foil areas. The embossing or debossing feature adds a distinct texture to your designs and creates a pleasurable tactile effect to your card.

Embossing and Debossing is a tactile Add-On and though visible in certain conditions is not intended to be set in high relief.
1. Select the card quantity and print features. In order to get correct pricing, please make sure you have selected all the Add Ons you wish to apply.
2. Make sure you read the Product Details tab and turnaround time.
3. After adding the item to your Shopping Cart, please upload your files. Make sure you have each Add On separated in a different layer or file.
4. Please add any important notes or questions before Checking Out.
5. Once the order is placed and you have received an Order #, we will check your files for any obvious issues or questions.
6. If your files are good to go, your payment will be Processed.
7. Our proofing staff will prepare a finalized print proof and send you a copy by email within 24 hours.
8. After you have approved the proof, we will start the production. You can track your order's process in your Order History.

Debossing can be surface level or it can go deeper if the middle layer is cut out and then pushed down. This cut out process works best on our Silkcards 48pt cards.

Our 16pt cards are one layer cards. This means that if embossing or debossing is done to one side, the impression will show on the other side. If this is the desired effect you wish to have, please select this option.
The difference is in the amount of layers that each card has.
16 point stock is 1 layer, 32 point stock is 2 layers and 48 point stock is 3 layers.
A custom order is when you have a specific size or quantity that we do not offer on our website. This means your order was priced out and custom quoted for you.
Silk finish is our trademark product. It provides a texture that is smooth to the touch. Silk finish adds a matte appearance to any of our products. It allows both ink and any add ons to fully shine.
Suede Finish is a lamination that is applied to give a luxurious texture to your business cards. It is softer than our Silk Finish and truly embraces the feel of luxury.
